MY FIRST LANTERN PARADE!!! :D
A VERY LEGEND…<wait for it>…DARY! LEGENDARY HIGHLIGHT OF MY FRESHMAN YEAR.
Last Friday, I really felt the my very first Christmas season in UP Diliman. Not only was I able to watch, I was able to march with the lantern of my home college (Mass Comm.) and I was also able to hold our college’s flag for some time during the parade around the acad oval. :>
After the parade, we went to the amphitheater where we gathered with our co-freshies from all over UP. I also met with my friends from HSAM (my high school alma mater). Altogether, we wrote wishes on our sky lanterns and let them go to the sky, hoping that our wishes will come true soon. ;)
Last highlight of the night, we watched the finale of the celebration: the fireworks display. Though this did not go as planned (there was some accident when the fireworks went off), my friend and I took pictures from the University Ave. Such a sight!
And now I can’t wait for the next lantern parades to come. :D

#Nov23 reminds me of our report in English 10 last semester. It was about media killings. One of the parts of our report was titled “Broken Promises.” END IMPUNITY NOW! Let justice be served.

Can we take a second to look at Quinn here, this isn’t a girl who wants to ruin Shelby’s life. This is a girl who’s so broken that she’d do anything to fix the biggest mistake of her life - giving her child away. We all get that taking her away from Shelby would be the worst thing to do for Beth, but at this moment when Shelby said to Beth “give a momma a kiss”, you could see Quinn trying her hardest not to fall apart in front of her. She’s not an evil person, she’s just trying to get her baby back and going the wrong way about it. I think Quinn needs Beth more than any of us think she does.
You can tell she doesn’t want the same relationship with Beth that shelby has with Rachel. She wants to be there forever.

Glee guest star Charice, who has been touring in Singapore with hit-making producer David Foster, has been forced to pull out of the upcoming concerts because of the death of her father.
The father of Filipino pop singer and Glee star Charice was stabbed to death with an ice pick in a drunken street fight, police said today, with the singer cancelling an overseas tour to be with her family in the wake of the attack.
Construction worker Ricky Pempengco, 39, was stabbed repeatedly late yesterday after an altercation with another drinker in a street in San Pedro, an agricultural town south of Manila, police said.
“They bumped into each other and from there, they got into a fight,” said local police chief Senior Superintendent Gilbert Cruz.
Cruz later named the suspect as Angel Capili and said a manhunt had been launched to find him.
The Philippines National Police, local government, and the mayor of San Pedro town offered a 100,000 Filipino peso ($2347) reward for anyone who could give information that led to the arrest of Capili, Cruz told Filipino radio station DZMM.
